Last night I was listening to Major Nelson's latest Pod Cast. He interviewed Shane Kim, VP of Microsoft game studios. During the interview he was talking about how difficult it is when they green light a game that wont be out for another 2-3 years and not really knowing if the game will be as good as they are hoping, especially on new IP's like Gears of War and Crackdown. He then mention's how much easier it is knowing a game is going to be huge like Halo 2, Halo 3 and Gears of War 2. That's when he started to stumble over his own words and was going um um um no nothing has been confirmed. As he was back pedaling Major Nelson started saying "you heard it here first" in a kidding kind of way and they moved on immediately.
You might want to give it a listen, not just for this but in general it is a great show he puts on every Sunday.
