In the April issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly, the rumor monger by which all other rumor mongers are to be judged, Quartermann, has a little bit of juice on a couple of the biggest games of last year.
Without spoiling everything, Quartermann expects to see new downloadable content for Gears of War in the very near future, but that's not the best part. Those pesky achievements that require "ranked play" to unlock? Word is Epic wants to get rid of the "ranked" requirement. Will Microsoft play ball?
Here is a little something extra regarding Dead Rising:
Is the Zombie Apocalypse drawing nigh? Probably not, but what if players had the ability to fight the onslaught of zombies in Capcom's Dead Rising with a partner over Xbox Live? Quartermann hints that an upcoming platinum version of Dead Rising will have an online co-op mode. But what about the folks who rushed out and bought Dead Rising last year? They'll be taken care of, too -- but like Quartermann says "for a price, of course."
